Notes from my coffee counter—and wherever the next bag takes me.

About me and BurrBean

Why I started BurrBean

I got into coffee because I love both sides of it: the simple pleasure of a cup that tastes wonderful, and the process of figuring out why it does.

I can happily get lost in the science, the equipment, and the technique. I enjoy changing one thing at a time, tasting the result, and gradually understanding what makes a cup work for me.

Travel made the curiosity bigger. I love finding new beans, visiting coffee shops, and tasting how origin, roasting, and local coffee culture show up in the cup. Some coffees become favourites. Others simply teach me something.

I built BurrBean to keep those lessons from disappearing. The app helps me remember my beans and dial-in settings. This journal is the other half: the stories, experiments, places, and discoveries behind the numbers.

Here I share what I learn and enjoy along the way. If one of these notes helps you make a better cup or find a coffee you love, I’ll be happy.
